Interpreting is a complicated and difficult activity that stretches the interpreter’s capacities to the highest degree. Usually, interpreters work under incredible pressure, exhausting their processing capacity. It will definitely take up a lot of cognitive resources, and it is a special activity dealing with languages which consumes great mental workload. As the intermediary and bridge between the source language speaker and the target language listener, the interpreter should transfer received information in limited time from one language to another accurately, fully, and fluently. Interpreting of human resource management demands professional knowledge. The interpreter should not only activate abundant linguistic resources, but also be familiar with the expertise in this field.This report, based on the author’s interpreting for human resource management at Tencent, including interviews, routine meetings and training meetings, summaries her understanding of interpreting in this field and analyzes the difficulties, for example, the mastery of human resource management terminologies, frequent occurrence of numbers, and how to deal with long sentences. Corresponding solutions have been put forward, such as establishing glossary, marking with commas and slashes for number interpretation, and analyzing the logical relation of information.This report, based on previous studies and incorporating the author’s experience, puts forward the ways and methods of enhancing the interpreting ability in human resource management, which shows significance in practice in some degree.
