Over the past years, with the expanding and booming of China's cultural exchange with the outside world, Chinese-foreign cooperative education developed rapidly. Many courses are delivered by foreign professors from the partner colleges or universities, most of whom cannot speak Chinese. The demand for professional interpreters is on the rise. Thus, the study of class interpreting is of great importance. This thesis is a practice report based on class interpreting for human resource management. The program is a Sino-foreign cooperative education program delivered by a Canadian professor. The thesis has been divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction of the task. The second part states the preparation of the task from three aspects: terminology and background knowledge, textual analysis as well as the definition of an interpreter's role. The third part introduces the interpretive theory of translation and its applicability in class interpreting. The forth part focuses on case analysis. By analyzing difficulties both lexically and textually, it shows three difficulties the author encountered, such as mistranslation caused by terminology, heavy information embedded paragraphs and long paragraphs without logic in the process of interpreting, and in the meantime puts forward some solution techniques. The last part serves as an overall summary.
