Studies Of The Semantic Analysis Of The Verb "Da"and Its Semantic Variation

Coincidence with the breakneck advancement of the high intelligentization of language processing technology, computer has been increasingly required to have the abilities to "think" and "ratiocinate", so that computer can comprehend the semantic meaning in some specific sentences like our human being. Accordingly, this technology has imposed greater challenge on linguistics research, which requires linguists to make a more meticulous and much deeper research, especially on the analysis and description of the semantic meaning of synonym. The automatic annotation of semantic meaning is the new goal of language information processing, while the top priority of the realization of this new goal is the construction of the groups of synonyms. However, the construction of the groups of synonyms has encountered with two headaches which are the scientific description of semantic meaning as well as the construction mode of the groups of synonyms. This paper will go forward from the perspective of the novel synonym group construction theory——"Synset-Lexeme Anamorphosis" Theory to describe and reveal the structure of semantic meaning so as to accentuate the corresponding relations between grammar and semantic meaning on the basis of the semanteme analysis of the construction of semantic meaning. Then, it further creates the corresponding semantic "lexeme" of semantic meaning, and establishes its synsets through variation theory, and finally constructs stereoscopic synset system of polyseme from different perspectives.This paper lays emphasis on the analyses of "Dal"as well as the semantic relations between its synonyms and the sememe combinations of collocation.This paper is made up of five chapters.Chapter One is an introduction to this thesis, which briefly generalizes the research background together with research significance and value, theoretical framework as well as research methodology. And it further summarizes previous works about this field.Chapter Two gives us a clear outline of the previous researches on Chinese verb "Da" as well as the relevant paraphrasing on verb "Da" in Chinese dictionary. It further points out the deficiencies of the paraphrasing in Chinese dictionary and then proposes strategies of semantic meaning description in information processing. Under this circumstance, it uncovers the definition of "Da" alongside the research strategies in this paper.Chapter Three pays attention to the analysis of the semantic meaning construction of verb "Da" and several kinds of semantic units, and further describes their semantic meanings as well as their semantic feature with the method of componential analysis.Chapter Four lays stress on the construction of the synonym group of "Da". It expounds the ways and principles to classify the synonym of "Da", and also puts forward three kinds of lexeme variants, their conditions bringing about variants as well as the semantic relations between variants and synset, and between variants and variants. This chapter emphasizes the double applications of syntagmatic relation and paradigmatic relation of sememe.Chapter Five is the conclusion of the whole thesis. Major findings of this thesis will be offered. Of course, every blade has two edges. Therefore, some limitations should be mentioned in this thesis, last but not least, relevant indispensable suggestions for further study will wind up the whole thesis.
