Chinese synonym is important for Chinese vocabulary. The study of ancient Chinese synonym is useful for the development of the Chinese vocabulary history and we have made great achievement no matter in theory or in practice in recent years. Doing relative closing or closing investigation to a divising literature in history adopting the angle of common times can offer accurate materials for knowing the system composition of a divising synonym in history for us. Studying a divising synonym in history must start from the special book, herefore the study of synonym of the special book has become the the new direction of this field.Xinyu is an important work of philosophical works of Han Dynasty edited by LuJia. LuJia is eloquent. Xinyu mainly expounds the gain and loss of QinHan, success and failure at all times, recommends governing a country with the kindheartedness and righteousness, and offers valuful plans of administrating a country for Chinese imperial court. Xinyu is praised extremely by LiuBang and his officals. The content of the article is wide and it is important rather in thought and language. There has been no relevant thesis or work researching on the synonym of the book at present. We decide and differentiate the synonym of monosyllabic verbs of the work in order to describe it scientifically as objectively as possible and offer reliable materials for the study of synonym of Han Dynasty.The paper has an research on the synonym of monosyllabic verbs of Xinyu mainly from two respects of decide and differentiate the synonym of monosyllabic verbs. First of all, we should define the synonym scientifically. In the respect of meaning of the word, we define the same in synonym as the same of one meaning adopting the view of WangLi and HuangJingui; In the respect of morphological feature, we adopt the view of LiuShuxin, namely identity of the same morphologic; in confirming the synonym phrase, we adopt ShuangchongYinzhengFa combined together XilianFa and CanzhaoFa put forward by XuZhengkao. Namely joining TongyiDuiwen or different words having same meaning in the same context as a synonym phrase according to the context; On this basis, we should further confirm to the synonym relations of the words tied together, and further expand the range of the synonym phrases refering to the achievement of ancient commentaries and relevant commentaries applying the law.we read Xinyu repeatedly and adopt the principle of the same of one meaning, the same of morphological feature and ShuangchongYinzhengFa, namely confirming the meaning of each word and summing up the words with the same meaning as a group utilizing to dominant clues of Duiwen and Lianwen, according to the relations of words and phrases among the text mainly. While summing up the meaning items, we limitly collect the using meanings of the words firstly, then summarize using meanings as meaning items, then we can establish the synonym phrases tentatively; secondly, we confirm them utilizing the existing commentaries, Including Shuowenjiezi, Yupian Erya etc, except the relevant commentaries of Xinyu. Finally, we examine the synonym phrases and reducing linguistic context of meaning items established, if we can explain the original text accurately with the meaning items, then confirm them as the synonym phrases finally. We analyze the synonym of Xinyu in this method as objectively as possible, and sum up 76 groups. In this paper, we concretly study 31groups among them.Differentiating the synonym is the focal point and difficult point of the synonym study. We mainly analyze the difference from the aspects of semanteme, grammar, language using and investigate the diffrerence in the same. The meaning of a word is the key content of the word, so we put focal point of distinguishing on the meaning of a word, mainly investigate from the respects of original meaning, amplification series and antonym of the word; In the aspect of grammar, we mainly study whether they could serve as the composition of sentence structure alone, collocating ability and changing of morphological feature etc; in the aspect of language using, we mainly analyze from the respects of emotion, grade, dialect and the writing type of the word.The full text is divided into four parts altogether: Part One is introduction; Part Two is the study of the ancient synonym; Part Three is he study of the synonym of monosyllabic verbs in Xinyu; Part Four is the differentiating the synonym.
