Investigation And Analysis Of Chinese Oral Communication Teaching Of Surindra Rajabhat University

It is one of the most essential goals for teaching Chinese to speakers ofother language (TCSOL) that to train learners to communicate with Chinese.Among many subjects to the goal, oral communication takes the mostimportant part to train and develop learners’ ability of expression andcommunication in Chinese, which also stands obviously in Chinese languagecourse. In this essay, I will mainly discuss “how to teach” and “how to learn”in TCSOL using my Chinese teaching practice in Surindra RajabhatUniversity（SRRU） in Thailand.There mainly are5parts in this paper: the current situation of Chineseteaching in SRRU; the contents and methods of oral communication teaching;students’ learning status; problem and shortcoming; thinking and advice. Theuniversity has formed its own special way in teaching Chinese oralcommunication after many years practice, and it also brought obviousteaching result. The university has used task-solving teaching methodology,cooperation teaching methodology, game and picture teaching methodologyand cultural experience teaching methodology, which have a strong pertinenceand are care to university students’ characteristic.In general, students in Thailand like speaking Chinese, they areinterested in dialogue and role-play, and they are enthusiastic to learn Chineselanguage. In the same time, however, problems are found existing in teachingoral communication, which primarily show in the following aspects: the lackof Chinese teachers, the different standards between Chinese teachers, thewide range of textbooks, the inefficiency of systematical plan, the laggingbehind teaching equipment, the lack of teaching expense, the differentChinese levels of students and the difficulty to teach, etc.
