Chinese redundant negation refers to those in the form of“不、没、未、别”negative words without the negative meaning.Redundant negation is a special phenomenon existances in the contemporary Chinese language universally,and that it has the special effect and function in certain circumstances.“差点儿没”as the typical representative of Chinese redundantly negative structure,but the knowledge of how this phenomenon be understood,how to be used in the daily lives of Thailand students and what problems can occur during using is still waiting for investigated.Therefore,this article taking“差点儿没”as the example,through a form of the questionnaire,examing Thailand students on Chinese redundant negation format’s ability to understand and use.The survey found many problems such as 80 percent respondents have not comprehended the same usage of same meaning between“差点儿没”and“差点儿”,and Thai students that can understand the affirmative meaning of“差点儿没”are less 31.2 percent than the negative meaning,and only have 4.4 percent students not only can understand the affirmative meaning of“差点儿没”,but also the negative meaning;students’grasp of common followed composition is better than that not allowed composition;and in addition of some intermediate and advanced students,most of other students can’t understand the pragmatic implication and effect in the sentences and so on.The reason for these problems may mainly produced by the complexity of Chinese redundantly negative system itself,textbook compication and teachers’and students’factors.At last,the article trying to put forward some proposals from the aspects of teaching materials,teachers and students tohelp Thailand students to grasp the Chinese redundantly negative structure.This artcal mainly divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction, mainly including the background and origin of the study, the content and the purpose of the study, the idea and methods and respondents and research sources of the study, and the design of the questionnaire, the result of the survey, and the related research corpus review.The second part is the investigation of the mastery about“差点儿没”of the Thailand students of different stages from the perspective of the semantics,investigating whether they can comprehend the affirmative meaning and the negative meaning of“差点儿没”or not,and when“差点儿没”and“差点儿”is the same meaning or different meaning,the students whether can comprehend the meaning of“差点儿没”or not.The third part is the investigation of the mastery about“差点儿没”of the Thailand students of different stages from the perspective of the grammar,in addition to investigate their mastery situation about using“差点儿没”to match with different composition and the word order,also to observe whether the students will use“差点儿没”independently.The fourth part is the investigation of the mastery about“差点儿没”of the Thailand students of different stages from the perspective of the pragmatics,mainly investigating the situation of whether they can comprehend the pragmatic meaning and effect and the usage of“差点儿没”in code switching.The fifth part is the analysis of the factors that affecting the mastery situation about Chinese redundant negation of Thailand students from the perspective of Chinese redundantly negative structure itself, the teaching materials, the teachers ande the students.The six part is according to the factors that affect the students to master of Chinese redundantly negative structure“差点儿没X”to put forward some advice about textbook,teachers and students to help improve the teaching effect of Chinese redundant negation.
