Chinese idiom phrase have an important place in Chinese. It has unique Chinese cultural characteristic as well as proverbs and allusions, the two-part allegorical sayings. People use them frequently. As a Thai, I know well about the situation of Thai students learn Chinese idiom phrase. This paper analyses biased errors that made by Thai students in China when they use Chinese idiom phrase, and it is aimed at helping Thai students to master Chinese idioms well, as well as enabling their communication with Chinese people successfully.The main content of this paper is about general introduction of Chinese idiom phrase, a questionnaire survey of using situation of Thai students, types of biased errors that summarized from the survey and the causes of errors. The research methods which have been adopted are literature review, questionnaire survey, statistic analysis as well as inductive and summary method. By these methods, this paper concludes all the biased errors into five types which related with semantics, grammar, pragmatics, fixed words used in idioms and writing. The causes of these errors mainly are negative transfer from mother tongue, high complexity of Chinese idiom phrase, insufficient of teaching of idioms and so on. Suggestions are provided from different angles like teacher, student and textbook and so on.
