The comprehensive national strength and international status of China has riseceaselessly, more and more foreigners like to learn Chinese. The international force of thedevelopment of Chinese teaching career shows a great of progresses day by day. Chinese hotupsurges, more and more foreigners are joining the army of learning Chinese; the students ofdifferent country have their own level and demand, appear this kind of teaching status meansthe international Chinese teaching needs higher requirements. Idioms as the mostrepresentative of the Chinese vocabulary, plays an important role in the international Chinesevocabulary teaching. However, idioms teaching is also difficult in the international Chineseteaching, it still exists many problems, such as the definition of idioms, the two levels of itsmeanings, the lack of teaching materials and so on. In this article, we do a comparativeanalysis in a small-scale between Chinese and Thai idioms. Based on this, we propose a littleof learning strategies and methods for Thai learners of learning Chinese idioms, hoping togive a hand of teaching Chinese idioms.
