Chinese economy grows with a steady and fast speed and proceedstoward the national well-being society. China has about400millionchildren, leading to an undeveloped market with infinite opportunities. Inaddition with special national conditions of China, the only child hasunique position in a family, so the only child is the key determinant ofconsumption.The brand-new consumption view and brand-new lifestyle greatlyenrich the package of modern children food. The package design ofchildren food market has some problems, including: the specialpsychological habit and physiological habit of children are not grasped.New design thinking is lacked in the package design. Most packages aredesigned for the commodity with single function. The package is uselessafter opened, so the package can only be removed.“One-time” packagedesign not only damages the environment, but also increases energyconsumption. The package design of children food shall not onlyaccurately transmit the information, but also guides the consumption viewby advanced design concept. The design strategy focusing on children canwin the praise of the special consuming group.The package design with multiple functions makes the best use ofeverything by smart design upon the protection function. Children can notonly exercise their operation ability and innovation ability, but alsocultivate the interaction and interest with their parent. Moreover, thepackage design makes for environmental protection and reduction ofresources waste. With greater package value, the design establishes agood image for the enterprise and perfectly expresses the cultural contentof the enterprise. Not only the competitiveness and product value-addedis increased, but also a good platform is provided to the children and theirparents. Children are in their key period of development with psychologicalfeatures including “innovative, interesting, and curious”. These problemsmust be considered completely in children food package. Sensorexperience of children shall be satisfied from their touch, vision, andmotion. The diversified design also shows the humanistic care of humanfirst and wins children acceptance to achieve the sales objective.Meanwhile, the motion intelligent of movement, vagary and innovationability can be satisfied.Through the investigation on children food package market, bycomparing the package function and structure of domestic and foreignproducts, the analysis on the special group, children, is carried out topropose the children food package design with diversified functions.
