Backout makes agreat waste and is unable to solve the economy and society problems. The Occidenthas experienced the earlier period of exploration and practice for it,but in ourcountry,it just enter a process from self-ascending to self-conscious. Generallyspeaking,it has a lot of defection,mainly including lacking the cooperation withhumanities and history ,lacking the consciousness of city environment andsuatainable development,the small scope and type,lacking administrative rules andpublic participation.The subjects of the article are the old industrial buildings that are increasinglyemerging in urban areas. The reconstruction and reuse is a process which make theold industry building transform from old to new,this transformation is not tocomplement simply but to renew in the new stage.Our purpose is to find acontinuously evaluative way for old industrial buildingreuse that suit for thesituation of China by systernatic analysis on the Reconstructionand Reuse of theOld Industry Plants.Shanghai have greats of old industrial plants as a modern industrial base,these old industrial plants contain values in use,history and landscape,because of theirspecial design philosophy and aesthetics value,the investigation of their reuseapproaches is of universal significance.This development is forming a uniqueconcept including national characteristics and creative ideas of modern artiststudio,this concept which is a spur to formation of totally new architecture spacecombied the modern art,architectural space,culture industry,historial context andcity life.To a certain extent,it affect the investigation of urban culture and livingspace in China,and it become a remarkable point with art and culturecharacteristics in urban construction of Shanghai.This thesis is based upon the analysis of internal factors and summarization ofthe general situation, this thesis probers comparison between china and foreigncountry on practice and theory.By analyzing the Shanghai development andcombiming with some practical case studies, the article get a systematic analysisand summarization for related design element,type character,design methods andthe interactive relation politcs economy ,culture society and reconstruction andreuse of old industrial plants to play a aggressive role in the related design andrenew of city.The result of research indicates the the reconstruction and reuse of oldindustry plants is a system engineering which range over many subjects and fields.there are a few points to de pay attation to: (1) The reconstruction and reuse of oldindustry plants should base on the concept of sustainable development,ecologyconsciousness and cognition of the significance of protection for thebuilding.(2) With the connection of reconstruction and reuse and revival of old industry area,continue developing mark and history emotion which aggregate inthe old old industry plants and old industry area.(3) Combine reconstruction andreuse with the integration and update of environment landscape , eliminate thedisadvantage effect from overripe old industry plants through planning anddesign.(4) Establish and complete the policy about reconstruction and reuse, makethe government , the public and market play a active role in the prosess.(5) Analysis project in a meticulous way, balance the various design elements, proposecreative reconstruction scheme.
