The critique of capitalism is a classic theme of Marx’s social critique theory, which is extended by Deleuze, an important representative of the post-Marxist, in his own philosophy. Deleuze thinks that the major work of philosophy lies in the creation of concept rather than the reflection of questions; he believes that the critique and deconstruction of existing questions can only be achieved in the process of creating concept. As a result, his critique of capitalism is built on the creation of concept at the very start. He reinterprets the concept of desire, sublating the view of lacking desire advocated by the traditional philosophy. He introduces production into the theory of desire, and creates the concept of desiring-machine, revealing the producing and generating nature of desire and realizing the value changing into a new concept of desire. Based on the new concept of desire, Deleuze attacks the popular psychoanalytic theory acting as a tool like a puppet of the capitalist ideology and discloses the real state of losing the natural power of human in the capitalist society. Therefore, he advocates the use of the most primitive "nomadic" way to get rid of the restrictions of capitalism, and update it.In the elucidating process of the critique of capitalism, Deleuze was forced to return to Marx. In later life when he was cleaning up sources of his own ideas, he indicated that Guattari and he himself " were still Marxists", and also clearly showed three differences between his and Marx’s idea in his own class, which provides great convenience for us to understand his complex relationship with Marx, on the one hand, he inherited Marx’s critical spirit, kept the theory purport of realistic concern, and continued the classic theme of Marxist critique of capitalism; but on the other hand, he deviated from the original direction of the Marxist classic theme in his dual steering processes of both philosophy and politics and lost the power of changing the world in Marxist philosophy. As we can see, no matter whether because of the characteristics of the postmodern era or the personal interests of Deleuze, Deleuze’s ideas are always permeated with a strong subversive influence to the era, and thus he is known as the post-Marxist. Although Deleuze’s idea is the essence of the spirit of the20th century, the obscurity and forward-looking thinking of his idea would be destined to shine in the21st century.
