During the Taikang Period of West Jin Dynasty, with the changes in the socialenvironment, the literary’s booming spring appeared. During this period’s prosewriters, Pan Yue was a representative one. His works accounted for eight of thefifteen of WenXuan,the earliest existing set of poems, which was selected by XiaoTong in West Jin Dynasty. This thesis aims to refresh and collect the works of Pan Yuefor the completion of his collections. This paper refers to the master copy of allcollections before the Six WeiJin Dynasties, selected by Yan Kejun and reference ofZhang Fu ’s famous collections of Han Dynasty and Six WeiJin Dynasties. Based onthe previous results and various types of books by category and general collectionsof ancient books, numerous references had been refered for compiling and collectingthe eulogies of Pan Yue.By collecting relevant materials and interpreting literature, we can master theachievements of Pan Yue’s works, understand his contributions and preservehistorical materials. My paper consists of three parts.The first part introduces the Pan ’s life story, and then describes the spreadinghistory of his works. The last but not the least, the literary and historical value of hissad eulogies will be researched.The second part is also the body part. According to Yan Kejun’s all collectionsbefore the Six WeiJin Dynasties compiled in Qing Dynasty, the existing works ofPan Yue were about thirty-nine. In addition to poetries and proses, Pan was good ateulogy for the sorrow.His existing works were more than twenty, including eulogies,laments and elegiacs, while most of them were written for his loved ones, closefriends. The body part is mainly carried to compile, collate and annotate Pan’seulogies.The third part is the appendix including All previous dynasties’ compilation ofmaterials for reference.In the writing process of the essay, based on the materials available, the paperintends to reorganize Pan’s sad eulogies and strive to provide a practical version forreading and studying the works of Pan Yue.
