Discuss The Influence Of The Children’s Drawing In Graphic Design

Language and forms of graphic design are eclectic,either heritage folk paper-cut art, or traditional patterns, evencross-border arts like dance and music, graphic designers can find away to use. This affected the performance of the works of art graphicdesign constantly, and showed a different kind of surprising beauty.Childhood is like a piece of pure land which takes over the deepestpart of each person’s memory, and fragments in the children drawingsalways show a magic power to remind people the best resonance.Therefore, to link the children drawings and graphic design together,it will make the later produce a unique beauty. There are manysuccessful graphic design works now, where the children drawings areapplied to. Graphic designers mostly followed a way that re-extracting elements from children drawings firstly, and redesigningsecondly to combine with the aesthetic characteristics of the times.This paper started with two-pronged approaches--one children’sway of thinking of drawing, the other language and forms of childrendrawings. It decomposited characteristics of children drawings,combined with teaching practice of children drawings, analyzed theiraesthetic similarities between children drawings and graphic design,and finally explored how children drawings used in graphic designwith cases from four levels--the direct application of childrendrawings, using children drawings materials， borrowing expressionmethods of children drawings, and simulating the way of thinkingpresented in children drawings. The paper successfully appliedchildren drawings to graphic design, which provided a creativeperspective for graphic designers, so as to reclaim the graphicdesign of new soil.
