Lean In: women, work, and the will to lead is written by Sheryl Sandberg (COO ofFacebook) and Nell Scovell, with a smart and humorous language style, combined with theauthor’s own experience, reliable data as well as solid and strong investigation, whichdiscussed “Why do we have few women leaders” and offered their practical advices toencourage women to bravely face challenge and perfectly balance their family and career.This thesis has a more profound understanding to the communicative translation and thevocative text put forward by Peter Newmark via intensively analyzing the text, choosingproper translation strategy and understanding comprehensively the key words, phrases as wellas long and difficult sentences.The literature works can become perfect and accurate byrepetition. There is no so-called “definitive edition” or “perfect model”. With the help of thistranslation practice, this thesis deeply realized that translation is a meticulous work with solidfoundation of foreign language, native language and professional knowledge, also includingdeliberate thinking habit and rigorous work style.
