A Study On China English In Chinese-English Interpreting

English, as a communication bridge, has played an important role in the globalization. China is now increasingly powerful in the international arena because of the improvement of its overall national strength and its international status.With a further development of interpreting in China, China English is gaining an increasingly significance in Chinese-English interpretation and translation. However, the output of Chinese-English interpreting is influenced by the cultural conflict between China and the western countries. Besides, with China English widely used in some typical Chinese translation and interpretation, misunderstandings occur. So how to make China English more acceptable is the research purpose of this paper.China English, as an English variety, is the result of the combination of Chinese culture and English language. It is a self-adjustment and an application to the English language in the process of world development. China English has become a significant element in the Chinese-English interpreting, which has the Chinese characteristics, influenced by Chinese culture. But it is different from Chinglish which is a language failure that can not be accepted by English speakers. Nevertheless, China English is not universally accepted by English speakers. How to make China English propagate the Chinese culture appropriately? Should China English be abandoned in the Chinese-English interpreting? Which translation strategies should be adopted in Chinese-English interpreting are the questions need to be solved. With these questions, this paper summarizes some previous researches on China English made by the modern scholars, and introduces the background and history of China English, classifies the China English. And then, based on the2013News Conference interpreting of Primer Li Keqiang in NPC and CPPCC sessions, this paper introduces some appropriate translation strategies for China English in the Chinese-English interpreting.According to researches on China English, the paper makes a conclusion that even though China English is not universally accepted by English speakers, it is still gaining its popularity. The existence of China English is unchangeable. Making China English more acceptable and helping Chinese culture comprehensively propagated in the world with appropriate translation strategies are the obligations of the Chinese-English interpreters.
