Since the21st century,along with the social economy,the rapid development of science andtechnology,culture and education, multimedia network technology is increasingly widely used inthe higher education teaching.College students’ English learning styles became more personality,active and effective.The National Ministry of Education issued College English Course TeachingRequirements in2007.It pointed out that“The teaching aim of college English is to cultivatestudents’comprehensive application ability,especially listening and speaking skills,at the sametime to improve their ability of autonomous learning.With modern informationtechnology,especially network technology as the support,make the teaching and learning ofEnglish in the direction of individualized and autonomous learning.”So,under the background ofnetwork culture of College Students’ English autonomous learning has already been an importantgoal of university English teaching reform.This article analyses the current situation of college students’ English autonomous learningunder the network background through the form of questionnaire and interview,presenting theexisting problem that the college students’ English Autonomous Learning autonomous learningability is not strong;Through expounding the theory of Constructivism essence of AutonomousEnglish learning of college students,analyses the demand of the college students’EnglishAutonomous Learning under the network background; In-depth analyses the problems such asloss of initiative,self-control,objectives,strategies,poor network application ability and soon.Based on the theory of constructivism,to solve the above problems,this paper puts forward thecorresponding Suggestions and measures to improve students’ autonomous learning ability,fromaspects of subject consciousness,self monitoring,the role of teachers and the networkenvironment.It finally Provides the reference and help for College students encounteringconfusion and problems in the English autonomous learning.
