Globalization is the top feature and tendency of the world development. Therefore, the standard of the English teaching is higher and higher. The traditional English teaching has been far away from the demanding of the talent culture. Task-based teaching has increasingly become a new mode in our society. And its establishment adapts to our national English teaching environment. Through reading lots of relative literature home and abroad, the thesis focuses on high vocational nursing English in instructional design empirically on the basis of the constructional design and task-based teaching method.The research tries to answer the following two questions:(1) Can high vocational nursing English in instructional design change the tedious traditional teaching model into vivid one to enhance English learning ability of students on the basis of the task-based teaching method?(2) Can high vocational nursing English in instructional design enhance students’ achievement in the aspect of vocabulary, listening comprehension, reading comprehension and writing?In order to verify the effects of above two questions on the basis of instructional design and task-based teaching method, an experiment with80students from grade four in Heilongjiang Nursing School have been done. They are divided into two parts; The two parts include the experimental class and the control class respectively. In the process of the experiment, task-based teaching model has been used in the experimental class. The traditional teaching model is used in the control class. And we analyze the results from the data so as to get the average number, standard deviations, t-tests and so on and so forth which serve as comparative reference by means of using SPSS and the quantitative method.According to the analysis of statistics after exam, students in the experimental class have made obvious progress, and they are more active in English-learning. Results indicate that an empirical study on instructional design of high vocational nursing English can change the tedious traditional teaching model into vivid one to enhance English learning ability of students on the basis of the task-based teaching method. Furthermore, high vocational nursing English in instructional design can enhance students’achievement in the aspect of vocabulary, listening comprehension, reading comprehension and writing.Therefore, the thesis considered that as the guidance theory of the high vocational nursing English, instructional design and task-based theory can change the traditional teaching model effectively, improve the learning interest of the student, and promote the English level of the student.
