The task-based teaching method emphasizes that “learning by doing and learning by using”,the teacher arranges the teaching content to the learner through the task,and allows the learner to learn,master and apply the knowledge in the process of “doing” and “using”.Teachers integrate task-based teaching methods into Chinese teaching,which can stimulate the interest of learners and arouse the enthusiasm and initiative of learners to participate into class.The task-based teaching method also enables learners to combine language competence and verbal skills in the process of participating in the task.It can cultivate the learner's ability to use the language comprehensively and stimulate the learner's interest for further study of Chinese and Chinese culture.Teachers can circulated around in the class room during the task process,giving the learner the necessary guidance and help,so that the learner can complete the task efficiently without obstacles.Festival culture is an important part of Chinese traditional culture.It is a unique cultural symbol of a nation and reflects all aspects of people's lives.In the teaching process of Chinese festival culture,choosing the most representative traditional festival culture for instructional design,so learners can learn the customs of different regions while mastering knowledge,and arouse the interest of learners to learn and study Chinese culture..Therefore,it is necessary to have a instructional design for the festival culture.Through the questionnaire design of Chinese traditional festival culture,this paper investigates the students' cognition of Chinese festival culture in the teacher department of Mandalay Yunhua Teachers College in Myanmar.A reasonable festival culture instructional design was carried out according to the features of Chinese festival culture and the related theories of task-based teaching methods.This paper is divided into six parts,including the introduction,from chapter 1 to 4 of the text and the conclusions.The introduction part introduces the background and research significance of the instructional design of Chinese festival culture,the research content and research methods,and the research status of the task-based teaching method.The problems existing in thecombination of task-based teaching and cultural teaching and the corresponding solutions are proposed.The first chapter analyses the existing state of Chinese teaching and cultural teaching in Mandalay Yunhua Normal College in Myanmar from the introduction of the college,the curriculum of Chinese,the faculty of the college,the students of the college and the culture teaching.Through designing and giving out of questionnaires,investigating the students of the Teachers Department of Mandalay Yunhua Teachers College in Myanmar about the Chinese festival culture,and the results of the survey were statistically analyzed.The second chapter analyzes the feasibility of the task-based teaching method in Chinese festival culture from two aspects: the teaching content of festival culture and the advantages of task-based teaching method.The content of festival culture teaching includes the origin and features of festivals and the significance of festival culture.The content of task-based teaching method includes the definition,principle,function of task-based teaching method and the theoretical basis of task-based teaching method and its own advantages.The third chapter,based on the task-based teaching method,the overall teaching design of Chinese festival culture class,from the three aspects of teaching design,specific teaching operations and targeted teaching reflection,introduces the specific implementation process of task-based teaching method.The fourth chapter is based on the overall teaching design of the third chapter.It makes the design of the festivals in the Chinese culture class and shows the implementation process of Chinese traditional festivals in teaching.According to the problems existing in the teaching design,the advantages and disadvantages of task-based teaching method are analyzed,and making some relevant teaching suggestions.The conclusion part summarizes the thesis and the advantages and disadvantages in applying the task teaching method into the Chinese festival culture teaching.
