More and more people began to study the attention of lyrics linguistic in recent years. Inorder to enrich the corpus and the research perspective of lyrics linguistic study and explore thelanguage style and the stylistic feature of lyrics, this paper analyzes and summarizes thephenomenon of deviation collocation of Lin Xi’s lyrics which are taken as the corpus, throughthe deviation theory stated by Wang Xijie and the theoretical framework used by Zhou Chunlinin his book On the Semantic and Grammatical Deviation collocation of Words. The formertending to be colloquial, and the latter tending to be poetical.This paper divides into four chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the deviationtheory. The second and the third chapters classifies, analyzes and summarizes the linguisticdeviation collocation (including semantic deviation collocation and grammatical deviationcollocation) of artless and artistic lyrics of Lin Xi. The fourth chapter compares the deviationcollocation of Lin Xi’s lyrics with the linguistic deviation collocation of the representativepoetries of He Jingzhi and Mu Dan, so as to find out the similarities and differences between thecolloquial lyrics language and written poetic language in deviation collocation.This paper finds large amounts of deviation collocation phenomena from the lyrics of LinXi. Semantic deviation mainly occurs in the deviation collocation of subject-predicate phrases,predicate-object phrases, attribute-head phrases, union phrases, metaphorical phrases andpredicate-complement phrases. The deviation of subject-predicate phrases is the most. Comparedwith the deviation phenomenon summarized in Zhou Chunlin’ book On the Semantic andGrammatical Deviation collocation of Words, the semantic deviation collocation phenomena of“Ba” structure occur more in Lin Xi’ lyrics. Artless lyrics and artistic lyrics stay the same in thetypes of semantic deviation collocation. However, except for “Ba” structure, the semanticdeviation phenomena of artless lyrics focus basically on the level of phrases, while in artisticlyrics, there are often at the sentence level. In the proportion of deviation collocation, artlesslyrics are far fewer than artistic lyrics in a song. Artistic lyrics tend to have a large semantic spanthan artless lyrics in the semantic span of dominant deviation semantics and latent nullitysemantics. In grammatical deviation collocation, Lin Xi’s lyrics have fewer grammaticaldeviation collocation phenomena, but focus more on the flexible use of words, which isassociated with the characteristics of audio decoding of lyrics’ transient. The complexgrammatical deviation can cause understanding difficulties, which is not in conformity with theessential feature of lyrics.After comparing the semantic deviation collocation between Lin Xi’s lyrics and the poetries of He Jingzhi and Mu Dan, this paper finds that Lin Xi’s lyrics and the poetries basically stay thesame in types of semantic deviation. The difference is that in pursuit of implicit style, poetriesprefer to use some rhetoric such as symbol and metonymy. Compared with poetries, artless lyricshave less proportion and smaller span in semantic deviation. There is no significant differencebetween He Jingzhi’s poetries and artistic lyrics in the quantity, the proportion and the span ofsemantic deviation collocation, and sometimes the deviation proportion of lyrics is larger thanHe Jingzhi’s poetries. Mu Dan’s poetries have larger proportion and larger span than artisticlyrics in deviation. Because of the limitation of time, capacity and corpus resources, onlyMI-value and T-value can be used to calculate the semantic span and accurate data cannot beprovided to illustrate the difference between poetries and lyrics in semantic span. It can be seenfrom the comparison of semantic deviation collocation, as a language form of vocal musicamong civilians, popular lyrics need to be straightaway, while, as a language form of officialcorrespondence in the elegant literature, poetries can be both straightaway and profound. Theoverall style of Lin Xi’s lyrics is in line with the essential feature of lyrics creation beingstraightaway. There are more differences than similarities between poetries and Lin Xi’s lyrics,which mean they do not belong to the same literary form.
