The present dissertation is concentrated on two issues of Feng Ban’s poetic thoughts. In the first chapter, the author attempts to discuss Feng Ban’s conception of Qi-Liang style and Late-Tang style through the analysis of his Ge-Xing poems. In Feng Ban’s theoretical system, the poems in Qi and Liang Dynasty and the poems in Late-Tang Dynasty were not self-existed but related to each other. Feng Ban defined Qi-Liang style in the view of versification, and then pointed out the relationship between the style of Li Shangyin and Wen Tingyun’s poems and the style of Qi-Liang.Compared with the latter one,Feng Ban learned more from poems of Late-Tang.Throgh the analysis of Feng Ban’s Ge-Xing poems, the author finds that these poems were highly consistent with the Ge-Xing poems of Qi-Liang and Late-Tang in the following two aspects:the first is the creation methed of Fu-Ti,and the second is the attitude to pay respect to describing while to neglect to express one’s emotins. But Feng Ban’s Ge-Xing poems’ flamboyant style and the using of Sanping-Diao to creat special rhythm were different from the Yue-Fu poems in Qi-Liang Dynasty but similar to the Yue-Fu poems in Late-Tang.Besides,both of Weng Tingyun and Feng Ban’s Ge-xing poems were tending to compare natural objects to hard artificial materials in order to creat werid style, the phenomenon derived from their imitation of Li He’s Ge-Xing poems. The author tries to prove that the werid style originated from the tremendous unconformity between the soft, airy natural objects and the hard, heavy artificial materials. Whereas,Feng Ban’s Tinti-poems were tending to compare natural objects to soft artifical materials to creat tender style, which is opposite to his Ge-Xing poems while similar to Qi-Liang poet’s metaphors, which shows that Feng Ban’s conception of Qi-Liang style and Wan-Tang style were not limited in theory, but had been carried out in his poetry creation. The second chapter discusses on the connotation and the influence of Feng Ban’s theory of Bi-Xing.The academic world generally considered Qian Qianyi to be the first one to advocate Bi-Xing thoery in Yushan School, whlie the author proves that the year in which Qian Qianyi first published his theory of Bi-Xing was not earlier than1648,which was almost10years later than that of Feng Ban.Feng’s theory of Bi-Xing was based on his distinct interpretation of people’s temperament, and on his studying. of LiShangyin’s poems.Feng blured the moral factors of the poems intentionally, while paid more attention to artistic value of poems. His theory of Bi-Xing required vivid images and implicit emotions rather than undisguised comment or explicit emotions. Feng Ban advocated the theory also to rectified Song-Yuan style which advocated by Qian Qianyi.Feng Ban’s poems embodied his Bi-Xing theory well.Besides,he composed a series of Wu-Ti poems which were highly similar to Li Shangyin’s.Feng Ban interpreted Li Shangyin’s Wu-Ti poems by his theory of Bi-Xing objectly, and his attitude influenced Zhu Heling and Wu Qiao, the latter one composed Xi-Kun Fa Wei,considering that Li Shangyin’s Wu-Ti poems were all composed for Linghu Tao, bearing political sustenances. This kind of interpretation was subuject and not accurate on one hand, but on the other hand, the interpretation enhanced the status of Li-Shangyin’s Wu-Ti poems and distingushed them from popular love poems.Briefly,Feng Ban’s theory of Bi-Xing played a important role in the reception history of Wu-Ti poems which composed by Li Shangyin.
