Language and culture are inseparable. They depend on each other andinfluence each other. The second language learners can deepen their understandingof the culture on purpose language country on the basis of the Chinese languagecultural awareness. In this way, the language learners can use the language properlyand decently.The paper discusses how to systematically and purposefully combine thefamily culture elements teaching with the language teaching in “Chinese Course” onthe base of the teaching purpose, teaching contents, teaching principles and teachingstrategies.The paper consists of five chapters.Chapter one is about the background and significance of the theme, and thepresent research on culture teaching in TCFL, together with the research contentsand methods.Chapter two talks about the definition of “Family Culture” and whether familyculture elements are reasonably arranged in the textbook “Chinese Course”.Moreover, the elements in the book are classified in this chapter.Chapter three discusses teaching principles of family culture elements in theintegrated class of “Chinese Course”.Chapter four discusses a kind of culture teaching strategy, which tries tointegrate language forms, functions with culture at the same time. That is teachingChinese family elements in the process of Chinese characters, words, sentences anddiscourses teaching in the Integrated Class “Chinese Course” at the primary stage.Applying the approach, the writer tries to illustrate how to cultivate graduallyintercultural competence for the learners to make them global leaner in apluricultural society based on promoting their language skills and developing theirinsight and active attitude towards different cultures. Chapter five is the conclusion. There are all kinds of culture elements in the textbook“Chinese Course”. After demonstrating the combination of family cultureelements with language teaching in the integrated class at the primary stage, thewriter hopes it will be a reference for TCFL teachers.
