Instead of the common sense of “Chinese culture”,Culture in the field of “TCFL” is more of a concept in language teaching.It is the necessary basic cultural connotation during the language learning and communication,which can be defined as the specific idea of “culture” in a language.In order to distinguish it from the special teaching of culture,we named it as teaching of “culture element” or culture introduction in teaching.In the primary stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the Chinese language proficiency of foreign student is so limited that it is hard to offer an intensive culture introduction in several dimensions.Thus,to promote language teaching,it is the efficient method of introducing cultural elements that must be well concerned by teachers.In recent years,studies of culture introduction during teaching Chinese as a second language are mostly confined to the description of the empirical,lacking teaching practice,research and analysis under the guidance of system theory,and the specific and available for reference teaching cases are insufficient.In this study,we did our research with the College of International Education of Shenyang Normal University to find out the situation of culture introduction and its urgency and necessity.Meanwhile,the culture elements in the text book,Chinese Course,are also well counted and analyzed to know the classification and distribution of culture element.In the primary stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the teacher must pay attention to Chinese language proficiency of the primary students,improve cultural consciousness,attach great importance to the culture elements behind the language and the combination between culture elements and practice of language,which can make culture introduction more efficient.
