Mural art is an art field through shaping and drawing forms to express humanemotions or ideas. The Dunhuang frescoes are the most representative works of Chineseancient murals, and are also closely related to China traditional culture. In this paper, therelationship between the Dunhuang frescoes and China traditional theory of Yin-Yang andfive elements was deep analysed from the traditional culture essence of Chinese—Yin-Yang five elements theory as the perspective, and a large number of copying theDunhuang frescoes as the means.The aesthetic value of the Yin-Yang five elements theory was discussed starting fromthe basic theory of Yin-Yang and five elements. The neutral beauty of the Yin-Yang fiveelements theory, the beauty of isomorphism of human and nature and its relationship withart were analysed.The color beauty of Yin-Yang and five elements theory of the five generationnorthern Heavenly King in146th cave, the changing flying of west wall nirvana in158thcave of middle Tang Dynasty, the presenting flowers flying of west shrine in39th caveand the pollening flowers flying of south wall in320th cave of flourishing Tang Dynastywere Yin-Yang and the five elements color beauty,158th cave in in, the thirty-ninth afterthe cave wall West niches flowers flying and the320th South cave wall flying flower werediscussed based on the basic Yin-Yang five elements theory, and the relationship betweenFresco character color and the five elements theory was analysed.The Yin-Yang curve’s beauty of Dunhuang flying frescoes was researched based onYin-Yang five elements theory. In the copy of the double flying, gigaku flying andrebound Pipa flying as murals examples, the influence of Chinese traditional culture andthe Yin-Yang five elements theory on the flying murals curve design and its aestheticsignificance was analysed.The joss beauty of copies of Guanyin with thousand hands and eyes in Yuan dynasty3th cave and Arya Avalokiteshvara of helping people in distress in flourishing TangDynasty66th cave was analysed based on the Yin-Yang and five elements theory andChinese traditional culture, and its relationship with China traditional culture and Yin-Yang and five elements was also analysed.
