Report On Translating The Yearly Production Of200-ton Trifluoroacetic Acid Project

This report is based on the author’s practice of translating a planning，which is an excerptfrom the Yearly Production of200-ton Trifluoroacetic Acid Project, provided by JinanGuangzhiyuan Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. This planning introduces the trifluoroacetic acidproject from many aspects such as market development situation of the project, environmentanalysis of the project and so on, and finally gets the conclusion and the project proposal.In the report, the author analyses and illustrates some issues in the process of translation,which consists of the task-description part, the process-description part and case analysis toenable readers to understand more clearly about the translation practice. In thetask-description part, the author analyses the original text, the target readers, and the researchsignificance of this project; in the process-description part, the author analyses thepreparations before the translation practice as well as translation methods, especially theselection of the translation tools and two kinds of translation methods, namely parallel textand the qualitative and quantitative analysis; In the case analysis part, the author quotes wordsor sentences in the project as examples to discuss the Chinese-English translation of difficultand long sentences and translation of paratactic words or phrases, and put forward someopinions.Through this translation practice, the author realizes that a translator must have the rightwork attitude and excellent bilingual skills to present a more authentic translation for readers.
