Translation Analyses From The Perspective Of Reader-Response Theory

From the perspective of reader-response theory, this paper aims atanalyzing the examples selected from the contemporary Chinese novel Come As YouAre in the following four aspects: translation of Chinese verbs, culture images,Chinese names and dialects. This paper argues that on the basis of readers’ response,the language features of the original Chinese version and the cultural characteristicsreflected by the Chinese language, which are normally difficult to translate, should bereflected in the target language through translation.
