The term of select image not only involves the literature and art， but alsoinvolves the expression and application of the language， more involves thecreation of Chinese characters. This paper is based on the basic theory ofsemiotics，taking "Bang"，"Guo"，"Feng"，"Yi" for instance，analyzing the detailsthe "meaning" and "image" in thsese four Chinese characters detailedly， on thebasis， further analyzing "image pursuing for full expressing" in the perspective oflinguistics and philology.Chinese characters are written records of Chinese language symbol system.As a symbol， they all have their own signifier and signified. From the perspectiveof linguistics， the signified of the words is the combination of "meaning" and"image"， and the signifier can be pointed in the form of sound. From theperspective of philology， the signified of the characters are the "words" whichrepresents the character， and the signifier refers to its lines form.In Chinese， no matter word or character， the signifier and the signified arethe established relationship， which contains a basic process:"pursuing for fullexpressing ".Therefore，"pursuing for full expressing" of the Chinese charactershas two processes， both in the perspective of linguistics and philology. Thanks tothe two aspects， Chinese characters has become a secondary symbols."Pursuingfor full expressing" in the language refers to the reason why you read a word bythat，just as how to select image，select what kind of way to determine the voice ofthe words form. This motivation can be divided into two categories：simulation andcognate words. Among them， simulation can be subdivided into three categories：naturally occurring， conscious imitation and simulation in the form ofpronunciation.
