This report is based on the author’s practice of translating excerpts from A Bedside Bookon Health for Teachers. The author of this report, under the guidance of the tutor, finishedabout ten-thousand-word translation in Chapter7and wrote a report.The report consists of four parts. The author first introduces the whole translation task,including the book and the specific translation excerpts; then the following part is thetranslation process description. In this part, the author introduces preparation of vocabularyand Skopos Theory. Next, under the guidance of this theory, the author gives case analysesfrom lexical, sentential and textual levels, combined with examples selected from both thesource and target texts. In the final part, the author gives a summary of the whole translationprocess, pointing out achievements and problems to be solved.
