Application On Chinese Folk Paper-cut Art In Modern Graphic Design

The Chinese nation has a long history and rich cultural, among the splendidculture, Chinese folk paper-cut art is a collection of masses of working people’swisdom and emotion which is out of the train and nurture art flower, it conveys themasses nostalgia good intentions, but also because of lasting and fresh, showing weare sons and daughters of the unique spirit, revealing our nation’s cultural genes.Therefore our modern graphic design inexhaustible treasure.In the pluralistic world situations, our country’s modern graphic design isinspired by the strong impact of Western visual language, leading to theinternationalization and localization of visual symbols flooding visual languageaphasia phenomenon is very prominent. How to design both a tradition and a culturalatmosphere characteristic of the times of the design work, the Chinese designers arefaced enormous challenges. The folk paper-cut art,not only its external stylingfeatures but also its use of color have a close relationship with modern graphic design,so how to rediscover and explore the folk art of the artistic language, to enrich moderngraphic design is the main content of this research project.This first chapter introduces overview of Chinese folk paper-cut art, includingthe origin, development process,the status and spread paper-cutting process, allowingreaders to understand the macro simple basic overview of the paper-cutting. TheChapter II from Chinese folk paper-cut art features, Introducing the characteristicmanifestations of paper-cut and its language features. The Chapter III pointed out theexistence of modern graphic design works of the main problems, and thus presentsChinese folk paper-cut art in the modern meaning of graphic design applications,Chapters IV and V is also the focus of this chapter, introducing the folk paper-cut artand folk art of styling features a colorful language, combined with the designer’stypical design case specific analysis of how it is applied to modern graphic design,forthe modern graphic design to explore new new situation and new roads, finallysuccessfully applied to my own design.
