An adverb is a relatively special parts of speech in Chinese. Scholars has been always debated that adverbs are content words or function words. In addition, as to the classification of adverbs, different scholars have different opinions. Some often sort them out according to meaning, others are classified according to the syntactic function. However, regardless of the difference, it is undeniable that the adverbs is a complex but important categories in Chinese. Historically, about the research of adverbs, has made a lot of valuable research results both in terms of ontology and in the aspect of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. And from the 1970 s, the phenomenon of connection of adverbs in modern Chinese is gradually caused the extensive attention of scholars, mainly concentrated in the adverb category and application investigation on order. There still has a lot of scholars have done research about why two or more than two adverbs order can present certain regularity, but also they have some deficiencies.In view of this, this article selects two kinds of adverbs that used in the highest frequency, that is the degree adverbs and negative adverbs. And will analyze the application situation of this two kinds adverbs in modern Chinese. This article is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction, mainly introduces the reason of selected topic, the research status, and clarify the purpose of the research methods,steps, the meaning and value. And more importantly focusing on the research objects and scopes of this article. The second part is to carry on the quantitative statistics of the connection of degree adverbs and negative adverbs in the CCL corpus, in order to display the connection status of this two kinds of adverbs in modern Chinese. The third part is to analyze the internal structure of the connection of degree adverbs and negative adverbs. And at the same time, summarize the application structure’s syntactic function in the sentence and the keyword’s characteristics and rules. The fourth part is through the above statistics and analysis, in view of the connection phenomenon of degree adverbs and negative adverbs, put forward some teaching suggestions from the aspects of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The fifth partis the conclusion, summarize the connection status of degree adverbs and negative adverbs in modern Chinese and as well as the conclusion above.
