The Research On Minority College Students, Psychological Adaptability And Influencing Factors In Shanxi University

In multi-ethnic country, there are areas that exist collision and fusion from mainstream culture and object culture, so, how to make it possible for minority college students to live in a positive way, to reduce the alienated behavior, to get recognition and satisfaction, to achieve good psychological adaptation through college life in different cultural environment, it has become an important subject.This study uses 942 minority university students as subjects, the attitude to cultural identity, personality traits, social support system as independent variables, psychological adaptation as dependent variable, and take the people face amount scale, subjective well-being questionnaire, cultural identity attitude questionnaire, adolescent small five personality questionnaire, social support rating scale as research tools to survey independent variable and dependent variable. Using independent samples t-test, F-test, correlation analysis, regression analysis, mediating effect to investigate minority college students, psychological adaptability and its influencing factors. Meanwhile,through case interview of 12 students proved that this study is objectivive and effective. Results showed that:(1) minority college students, psychological adaptability, cultural identity attitude, social support in age, family source, time to han populated areas, Chinese proficiency and nation have differences.(2) there are related among the psychological adaptation, cultural identity attitude, personality traits and social support.(3) the parts dimensions of cultural identity attitude, personality traits and social support and parts of demography factors on the psychological adaptation has a significant role.(4) the parts dimensions of personality traits and social support, and parts of demography factors on the cultural identity attitude have significant predict effect.(5) the parts dimensions of personality traits and cultural identity attitude, and parts of demography factors can be used to predict the social support.(6) social support has mediating effect among the relationship of cultural identity attitude, personality traits and psychological adaptation.In a word, research indicate that minority college students are influenced by cultural identity attitude, individual’s personality traits, social support system in the process of psychological adaptation in Chinese cultural environment, and social support system works as the intermediary variable.Therefore, minority students individual can undertake adjustment from these three aspects in order to enhance the ability of psychological adaptation. University managers can take measuers from the above three aspects in order to help them improve the level of psychological adaptation.
