A Reflective Research Report On Translation Of Background Guide Of The 10th China National Model United Nations Conference

With the continuous deepening of international exchanges and cooperation, college students in China are actively involved in UN affaires in various forms, among which the China National Model United Nations Conference is becoming more and more popular among Chinese college students. Taking the translation of the background guide of the 2nd Committee of the 10th China National Model United Nations (Commission on the Status of Women) as an example, this thesis summarizes the entire translation task, analyzes the problems encountered in the process of translation and puts forward corresponding solutions.The whole thesis is mainly made up of three chapters, the first part is an overview of translation task which is consists of the description of the translation process; the second chapter is to analyze the original text by means of analyzing the text type, the format feature and the language style; Combined with the problems arising from the translation, the third chapter analyses and summarizes some corresponding skills and methods.Based on the translation and relevant analyses, the author also explores some methods and skills of translation of UN official documents. They are conducive to language learners or translators for the summary of translation experience, the improvement of translation skills, and further improving the translation quality of documents, they will also provide some guidance and reference for the translation of conference documents of United Nations or other international organizations.
