China and the Soviet Union are all carried out large-scale political movement after the new regime. In the two countries, "The cultural revolution" and "The Soviet union purge movement" are the deep pain of social disaster,not only damage the social life, but also left deep wounds on the emotions. As the most important literary narrative resources, writers reappear and imagine this authoritarian historical period with sincere affection and deep thinking, thinking about the choice and change of humanity under extreme conditions, representing the real history by means of artistic, forming the Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature. Because of the high similarity of between Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature in the era of political context, so that they have strong comparability. This paper is on the basis of texts, take the relevance between authoritarianism and narration as the breakthrough point, compare and analyze between the Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature.The whole paper divided into three parts. they are introduction, main body and conclusion. The introduction introduces overview of domestic and abroad research of the Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature. and at the same time, analyzes the relevance between authoritarianism and narration, and then defines the concept of the Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature. There are four chapters in the main body. In the first three chapters, compare the similarities between the Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature by three aspects, include narrative content, narrative consciousness and value and significance of narrative. The writing of the Chinese trauma literature and the Soviet Union suffering literature reveal the dual damage of body and soul under the power of authoritarianism. From the real records to profound reflection, the writers reflect the analyze of the causes of disaster, individual circumstances, national cultural traditions, as well as the continuation of traditional culture, national trauma’s repairment, and the exploration of reconstruct the national spirit home. In the fourth chapter, analyze the differences between the Cultural Revolution literature and the Soviet Union of literature from the aspects of historical tradition, religious beliefs, national personality. In conclusion, the author summarizes the historical significance and cautionary significance in two aspects of social value and artistic value, make a brief value judgment of the Chinese trauma literature and the former Soviet Union suffering literature.
