A New Study On The Rheology Of Guo Xiaochuan’s Poetic Style

During the first thirty years when the People’s Republic of China established, Guo Xiaochuan is the most representative poet in the field of new poetry, whose prominent feature is the poem represent the time. However, the value of Guo Xiaochuan is not only limited to this,he had consciously represented the voice of era, then, he made a personalized poetic exploration and diverge the mainstream political trend, his poem has varied from "Style of Stairs", "narrative long poems","folk songs" to the "new ci fu style", which shows great change in the aesthetic style.It is not only related to the poet’s individual choice, but also the inner law of the development of Chinese new poetry, even the era aesthetic culture and historical context.Based on the necessary definition of poetic style, his poetic rheology process can be roughly divided into three periods. The gorgeous and depressed "new ci fu style" combines the combat content of "Style of Stairs" and rich emotions of "narrative poem"; the theme shifted from attention to the external social life to the display of the internal emotional and spiritual world; the open winding lines, elegant verse and profound and forceful metre contribute the unique poetic style to the development of Chinese new poetry, which can be the peak of his poems.It’s significant to discuss Guo Xiaochuan’s poetry in the frame of the development of Chinese new poetic verse. Guo Xiaochuan’s value lies not only on the characteristic of time and transcendent historical value of the poetic form he created. What’s more important is his complex creative personality and the pure spirt he show in the difficult and winding process of searching.
