This paper focuses on the military remains of the Qin Dynasty that are preserved in Xian yang region, studied and analyzed the advanced military geography, weapons manufacturing, roads and transportation, and defense system.This paper has six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, i.e. the topic backgroun d.First, we introduce the reason of the topic selection, and then elaborate on concepts that inv olved in this paper, like the scope of time and space and other related concepts. Subsequently, we review the study history and the current status of this issue, suggesting that it is still necess ary to further study military issues based on the time and space scope in a particular region du ring a certain period of time. Finally, we present our idea and methods, innovativeness and de ficiencies of this paper. The second chapter briefly introduces the author’s opinions on the Xia nyang city walls outside, and then military remains inside the city, analyzed the cause of the a ppearance of the weapons inside the city and its military significance.The third chapter introd uces the discovery of the Qin Straight Road and Chi Road in Xianyang region, and summarize s their purpose and function. Then, based on the social background, we analyze the military ro le and function of the transportation in Xianyang region during the Qin dynasty. The fourth c hapter summarizes the Qinfengsui discovered in Xianyang, and analyzed its military significa nce. The fifth chapter carries on the conformity to each chapter, and analyzed the military relic s in Xianyang region, sorting out the necessity of moving the capital to Xianyang and establis hing the military strategic system. The last part is the conclusion, the importance of Xianyang as military status in Qin dynasty and the inevitability of its important military position are add ressed.This paper suggests that moving the Qin capital to Xianyang is a demand driven by the military requirments. And after this moving, Xianyang developed ceaselessly into the country ’s military center. Xianyang city embodied the Qin’s military strategy on the capital site select ion, military transportation system establishment,information system construction, and militar y manufacturing system settings and the convenience of the logistic system.
