The study is based on integrative motivation and instrumental motivation of onsocial psychology motivation mode made by Gardner. We draw lessons from some related research findings at home and abroad, combining with the characteristics of Japanese students to make data collection and analysis for Chinese learners from Japan. The analysis is in accordance with learning motivation and learning strategies compiled by Oxford Scale questionnaire.The data collection is made by questionnaires, we investigate the Chinese learners who come to China for work or study, studying in the short term or long live in China. The objects of the study are 40 students in a private Chinese class.We will use professional data analysis software SPSS19.0 for data analysis.The results showed that:1. Chinese learners from Japan with integrative motivation are more than people with instrumental motivation, they use social affective strategies most frequently on strategies, cognitive strategies is followed by,but the metacognitive strategies is used the least. However, their learning motivation, learning strategies will be changed according to their language level and the time they spend in China.2.The most of Chinese learners from Japan like to study Chinese in a private Chinese class. The learners who want to work in China hold the view that the private Chinese class can help them to reach the goal of study in a short time. The others who want to live in China longer think that private Chinese class can arrange the courses according to their time.
