This is a review on the translation of a work on economic history—The United States and the Global Economy: From Bretton Woods to the Current Crisis (Chapter 1&2). This thesis consists of four parts: introduction, translation principles and process, analyses of translation cases, and conclusion. Based on Newmark’s communicative translation and linguistic features of the text, the thesis discussed different translation techniques from the aspects of words and syntax, aiming to solve some practical problems in economic history translation, hoping to improve the author’s translating skills and shed some light on the translation practice of similar texts. |
