This dissertation aimed to review and re-consider the dialectical relationship between Chen Yingzhen’s thoughts and his literature, by this way, trying to form a conversation with the research which has taken Chen Yingzhen’s thoughts and literature as two unrelated parts. This division had led to misreading and neglecting what’s unique in Chen Yingzhen’s novels. The disregard of his last novel Zhongxiao Park was an example of the misreading above. The main purpose of this dissertation was to point out that Zhongxiao Park was a novel like a "thinking-play" which integrated both thoughts and literature perfectly. Chen Yingzhen reviewed issues of Taiwan in a view of double-war construction, Japan colonization and the third world history point in this novel by a series of thinking exploration and social practice like society nature study of Taiwan in 1990s, the discussion of society nature in China mainland and re-reading the history of Taiwan. With the basic understanding of Taiwan history, and on the basis of Chen Yingzhen’s social nature theory, this dissertation tried to represent the variation of "Japan complex" of Taiwanese during and after World War II through interpreting the story of Lin Biao, who was a Japan soldier from Taiwan with considering the history, and to reconstruct the political pattern in Taiwan after Word War II taking Zhongxiao Park as a specific space and a political prophet told by Chen Yingzhen by interpreting the appearance and suicide of Ma Zhengtao, who was a military police during the puppet regime in Manchuria. At last, the analysis went back to the specific issues and history background of the novel. It was a respond in the form of a novel by Chen Yingzhen towards the discussion of "province identity reconciliation" brought up by Chen Guangxing. By analyzing the conversation between Chen Yingzhen and Chen Guangxing, this dissertation tried to further interpret the argumentation of Zhongxiao Park as a "thinking-play".
