Theory Of The Traumatic Memories Writting In Chen Yingzhen's Novel

As a left-wing writer and theorist,Chen Yingzhen plays a fairly important role in Taiwan's literary circle.He always regarded fiction creation as a significant approach to convey the truth.His novels contain abundant and deeply historical content that presenting his rational thinking about the catastrophe of Taiwan,such as reviewing the February 28 Events and the Elimination Movements,meanwhile,rethinking new colonial economy and national separatism.At present,the research of Chen Yingzhen concentrate on the left-wing tradition,sociology and colonialism,also involved the misery narration and death theme.However,the traumatic memories writing that always penetrate Chen Yingzhen's novel hasn't have a systematic research.Therefore,this article takes the traumatic memories writing as a research target,and through analyzing the text to explore its intention and literary value.Firstly,this article combs the traumatic memories in Chen Yingzhen's novels,through the trigger point of traumatic memories and traumatic events to classify the theme types of the traumatic memories,thus interpreting the inevitable relationship between the hero's poor destiny and traumatic memories.By analyzing the identity,era and tragic incident of the characters,the second chapter intend to explore the implication of the theme that the traumatic memory is not only belongs to one people,but also belongs to a group,a nation and a country.The third chapter focuses on the different narrative style of traumatic memories,that is,whose narrative and what kind of narrative style are used to connect the past with the reality.When the past into the present forms a confrontation to show the tension in the text,meanwhile,the time and space crack also lead to the psychological crack of characters.From the historical background and social environment to investigate,the last chapter try to explore the significance of writing the traumatic memories.On one hand,the miserable history such as war and purging movement are recorded and reflected to arouse the introspection spirit and national consciousness which were rare in Taiwan,also express the expectations of national reconciliation.On the other hand,Chen Yingzhen showed the critical thinking about the current situation of Taiwan's consumer society.It intends to expose the colonial system which hidden in Taiwan and the alienation of people in the mass consumption society.By comparing the past and the present,the traumatic memories writing highlighted the dilemma of human existence in the modern society,finally achieving the function of saving the spiritual wilderness.
