During the Qing Dynasty, Qing regime established Ting at the earliest in Inner Mongolia region, as local administrative unit, and to manage migration of the Han people, which continually migrate to Inner Mongolia. During the period of the Qianlong Dynasty, Fengzhen Territory set up Ting, and Ting system had been improved and perfected constantly. From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the social transitional period, the subordination of Fengzhen and territorial jurisdiction had changed several times, which also had mixed with administrative system transition of the Ting to the county. Meanwhile, the economy, culture and society of Fengzhen region all had experienced the changes in different degrees. Based on the detailed analysis of the land reclamation, the development of industry and commerce, social activities, religious beliefs, cultural education, and social issues of Fengzhen region, this paper will try to show the course of history and social transition of Fengzhen region from the end of the Qing Dynasty to Republic of China.
