Listening is one of the main skills of communication, it is important in human’s daily life. If you don’t understand the language information, you can’t make the right feedback to others; you also can’t join the social activities well. So, listening should be the basis of language teaching. While teaching in the classroom, the main teaching objective is making students communicate smoothly, also it is a goal that students want to achieve in learning. This makes the listening teaching even more important. But at the moment, listening teaching always be considered the most difficult and the most boring course. The reason is, most of the listening teaching is still in "listen to the tape and do the exercise ". Students receive the information in a passive way; the listening skill can’t improve effectively.This paper uses five parts to carry on the connection between Chinese intermediate listening course and schema theory, hoping to improve the quality of listening course by changing the teaching mode. Firstly, through the schema theory of domestic and foreign relevant research review, this paper introduces the schema and schema theory briefly. Secondly, it introduces the current situation of Chinese listening course and discussed the problems in the intermediate listening course. Aiming at these problems, we have some suggests form three respects: pre-listening, while-listening and post-listening. And then, we tried to do the intermediate Chinese listening design based on the existing teaching practice and teaching experience. At the end of the paper, we made a teaching reflection by doing the assessment and interview. This paper tries to change the traditional teaching mode, in order to help students training the listening ability.
