Listening course is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and it is also one of the short board of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The short board filled can promote the improvement of teaching level and deepen students' understanding of listening course. The traditional mode of "listening to the tape and listening to the tape" has been unable to adapt to the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In the author's opinion, the schema theory can make up some defects in the present listening teaching.In this paper, the theory of schema theory is used to provide support for the teaching of Chinese listening to foreigners, and reveals the specific application of it in pre-listening,listening and post-listening as well as the essence of primary hearing under the guidance of schema theory. By using "Developing Chinese Elementary Listening(II)",Lesson 7 "Have you eaten this dish it" as an example,a complete elementary listening instructional design has been achieved.By using B1 and B2 class 39 students at Huazhong university of science and technology as the object of teaching, aiming at the examination paper analysis and the teaching situation, it is verified whether schema theory can help to improve the teaching level, and the corresponding suggestions are given in the process of verification.Through the research, on the one hand,schema theory can effectively enhance the elementary Chinese listening course teaching effect, on the other hand, some enlightenment has been drawn for further teaching:when using the schema theory to listening teaching:firstly,we should combine listening with speaking, reading and writing;secondly,teachers have to play the leading role and pay attention to the "quantity" issue in instructional design and teaching process;thirdly, teach students appropriate Chinese cultural knowledge, so that students can feel the profound Chinese culture.
