| It has been 30 years since China adopted reform and opening policy. The domestic translation industry has made great progress. In present age, it has made a tremendous contribution to China’s economic growth, both in quality and motility. With China’s overall national strength being more and more powerful and communication with outside world more frequent, the translation industry promotes the development of the economic growth greatly. It had become a bridge which links China to the world. The more communication with outside world is, the more business opportunities occur. As a result, the business translation programs grow rapidly, but the quality of the translation is far from satisfaction. Bad translation can be seen around the country. How to translate the business texts has been an important subject.Conference agenda belongs to business text and it is common to see, which contains arrangement and lists of topics for the meeting. This report aims to discuss the Chinese-English translation of the business text, with the translation of a company’s agenda as an illustration.
