A Translation Project Report Of The Design Of Learning Spaces

This dissertation is a report on the translation of Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of the book The Design of Learning Spaces, a book discussing the relationship between the design of learning spaces and the efficiency and quality of education, at the same time introducing some effective ways.Problems in the translation process lie in how to ensure the equivalence between the information the writer delivers and that the readers receive. An exact understanding of the writer’s idea is primary, and then on the basis of delivering the information correctly, some related translation strategies are used tosolve those problems, such as strategy of conversion,amplificationand simplification.One of Nida’s theories on translation Functional Equivalenceischosen as the guidance on the translation work. In general, a good translator needs solid theoretical basis,adept translation skills,rich knowledge reserves and profound writing knowledge, etc.
