Literature in the Elementary School, an historic book about literature education in school, is the source text of this translation report. Based on the translation of parts of this book, including the preface, Chapter 1 to 6 and Chapter 10 to 12, this report analyzed translation equivalence achieved at vocabulary, sentence, discourse and stylistic level in light of "functional equivalence" by Eugene Nida. This report is composed of four parts with the former two parts focusing on the introduction of the source text and the translation process of the writer.
