Contemporary dance education pursues to cultivate "thick foundation" "wide caliber", comprehensive quality and creative talents. Therefore, on the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese dance education, we should absorb concept of modern education innovation to carry out extensive and in-depth education reform. However, compared to the ideal goal and dance education reform, talents cultivation is still lagging behind the dance education. Investigate its reason, "heavy technology light education" and "light" and "light weight imitation creation" teaching method is the slow dance education reform that is one of the important reasons. In the exploration to solve this problem, a new dance education, in-depth study of Xiaobang Wu’s teaching methods will give us an important enlightenment.Xiaobang Wu is not only China dance pioneer, founder of modern and contemporary dance, but also the founder of Chinese modern dance education and pioneer. The new dance teaching system and method he built on the dance education in practice, training a large number of outstanding dance workers for new China; cultivate a batch of excellent talents for the China dance education development, and laid an important foundation for the development of the discipline construction of dance. Therefore, studying teaching method under his dance education thought has great significance on solving the existing problems of talent in contemporary dance education.The paper regards new teaching methods of dance education by Xiaobang Wu in twentieth Century thirty to fifty years and the results as the starting point, carrying on the analysis to support the teaching method of ideological education background and foundation, education philosophy and the implementation ways of application, teaching methods and training methods, characteristics and teaching effects. This paper argues that: dance education thought and teaching method of Wu Xiaobang is established in the modern arts and culture and education of the spirit of innovation, such as the " May Fourth" new cultural spirit, creative spirit of modern dance, the revolutionary spirit of realism, the unity of knowledge and education spirit and so on, and on this basis to establish the educational system and the new teaching methods of dance unique. Xiaobang Wu’s new dance education teaching way is based on "human nature" theory, regarding "breathe, move, think" as training elements and "creation practice" as the focus of training. Therefore, the successful experience of the new dance education by Xiaobang Wu give us the current dance education teaching methods in an important enlightenment: teaching methods of dance education should become the "injection" for "heuristic", change "passive" to "active", "imitation" to "research", "monologue" to "dialogue", "input" to "output", "closed" to "open"; the personnel training "skill" to "knowledge", "performance" as the "creative", "single" to "comprehensive type", so as to effectively promote the comprehensive construction of knowledge structure and improve the training, to promote the development of democratic and scientific personnel training, and to promote the improvement of the overall quality of talent cultivation. Therefore, Xiaobang Wu’s teaching idea and teaching methods to solve the existing problems in the Chinese dance education, which provide constructive ideas for comprehensive training of students Dezhitimei, the development of discipline construction and the ways of education China dance education and has an important demonstrating value on modern dance education...
