There are a variety of languages in the world.Similarities and distinctions lie among them,which leads to the comparability of these languages.Since Chinese and English are belonged to two language families,they,undoubtedly,are of great differences in many aspects such as pronunciation,vocabulary,sentence and grammar. And sentences,as the fundamental units when we communicating,if with diversity,may have huge effects on practising communication skills in learning a foreign language.In this case,the paper,based on the theory of contrastive analysis and Hsk corpus,draws on the discrepancy between Chinese sentences and English sentences.There are three section included.To begin with,I elaborate the research significance,the relevent contents of contrastive analysis and how it developed both in China and western countries,repectively. Additionally, the general research strategies are stated.The second part,the core of whole paper,analyzes the diversity of Chinese sentences and English sentences in two respects.one is the distinctions in sentences’ forms,which is resulted from the distincted ways of thinking of two nations.The other one is the distinctions in sentences’ structures,which reflect the differences of rules beteen Chinese grammar and English grammar.Apart from this,some suggestions are proposed,on account of each distinction,aiming at improving the effect of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Finally,the paper concludes the types of common errors that overseas studengts make and gives the reason why they make such errors as well. |
