When describing a thing,in order to make the expression more accurate,people inevitably use two or more noun modifiers.Therefore,the word order of noun modifiers is very important.Both Chinese and English have noun modifiers as syntactical components,but Chinese and English belong to Sino-Tibetan and Indo-European word order,respectively.There is a big difference in the order of noun modifiers,so native English speakers tend to make mistakes in learning Chinese,which deserves our attention.There are five chapters in this study:The introduction is the first chapter.Firstly,the reasons for choosing this subject are presented,and the previous researches on the order and acquisition errors of Chinese and English noun modifiers are reviewed.Finally,the research purpose,research methods and corpus sources are introduced.The second chapter introduces the order of Chinese noun modifiers.It first sorts out the various components that can be used as noun modifiers in modern Chinese,and describes and analyzes the different semantic types formed by each component,summarizes that under specific situations when different components are used as none modifiers,whether it should be used with “?”or not,and summarized the order pattern of noun modifiers established by our predecessors,Starting from the three levels of outer restriction,inner descriptiveness and core appellation,and supported by a large number of corpora,a set of conventional word order patterns that can summarize most situations is finally concluded.,And made a specific analysis.The third chapter introduces the sequence of English attributions.First,it sorts out the various components that can be used as attributives in English,and describes the specific positions when different components are used for attributions.Summed up the conventional word order of multiple English attributive order.The fourth chapter is a comparative analysis of the attributive order of Chinese and English.It lists the specific similarities and differences from the macro and specific aspects,and at the same time makes predictions about possible errors.The fifth chapter is a study of Chinese attributive order acquisition errors of English native speakers.Based on the HSK dynamic corpus and the global Chinese interlanguage corpus of English native language learner's errors corpus,it analyzes the acquisition errors of foreign students with English background.And analyze the causes of the errors,and put forward corresponding suggestions from the three aspects of teaching materials,teachers and students.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.It summarizes this article,explains the innovation of this article,limitations and follow-up research directions.
