In the process of teaching Chinese as a second language(TCSL), lexicon teaching has always been its significant element, to which morpheme pedagogy is one of the most important approaches. Morpheme pedagogy has its feasibility to be applied in the advanced stage lexicon teaching of TCSL. According to its lexical teaching requirements of that advanced stage, as well as to the statistic analysis based on textbook compilation idea, lexical investigation research and new lexical glossary of the books named<Developing Chinese·Advanced Comprehensive Course >(Ⅰ Ⅱ), how to adopt morpheme pedagogy in the advanced stage lexicon teaching of TCSL is determined, which includes the following study parts from morpheme to morpheme learning, from morpheme to lexical learning, and to combine morpheme with fixed format.The first part from morpheme to morpheme learning includes the use of morpheme to learn morpheme, and the use of its characteristics to learn morpheme.The second part from morpheme to lexical learning refers to the different applications of morpheme pedagogy in lexical meaning teaching and in lexical group teaching.Some certain limitations of morpheme pedagogy in the advanced stage lexicon teaching must be noticed, which require teachers and students to change their concepts in the process of teaching and learning to play their dominant roles. Moreover, morpheme consciousness should be fully reflected in textbooks.Based on new lexical glossary in the two textbooks of Developing Chinese· Advanced Comprehensive Course(Ⅰ Ⅱ), and the teaching design on Lesson 2 Come up with the Name, the application of morpheme pedagogy is analyzed and presented.
