Since the beginning of 21st century to the past ten years, there is a quite wonderful development across Chinese movie area. The rise of fresh movie directors and the box office earnings of nearly 30 billion seemed to have made us hear the voice of Chinese movies standing up against Hollywood. Behind the enormous influence and surprise is the rise and responsibility of Chinese young directors. As a consequence, research on the movie directors of "New Generation in the New Century " has been the focus of media and academic area. At the same time, "Phenomenon movies" established as the inheritance and innovation work basis of "New Generation in the New Century " movie directors, the phenomenon, characteristics and reasons has often been expanded and explored.As the movie atmosphere in constant transition, on one hand, "New Generation in the New Century " movie directors are always refreshing, breaking former movie types and the verbal paradigm, and replace the former ones with public commercial culture through visual enjoyment and experiential consumption. On the other hand, in the advantageous verbal system and consumption culture paradigm, "New Generation in the New Century " movie directors encountered and reconstructed former movies and movie culture. Through the "culture" consciousness and the underlying formation mechanism and characteristics of "Phenomenon movies", we can probe into the current Chinese movie area. The subjectivity, capital logic, culture consciousness transition, verbal rewriting and expression inside culture vibration of "New Generation in the New Century "movie directors termed by the public and critics have been presented. While movie culture, full of innovation and compromise of young directors, sophistication of public culture, multi-culture coexistence, the rise of movie’s entertainmet function and the development of movie strategies by new media, has presented more vividly in its function, them and art expression etc.This thesis selects Phenomenon movies" as examples. Through the characteristics and formation machanism of "Phenomenon movies", the current Chinese movie culture will be described and expained. The thesis theme consists of four parts: First of all, to define "Phenomenon movies" and "New Generation in the New Century" movie directors, then analyze the existed relations, the characteristics under the atmosphere of entertainment culture and experiential consumption. The second part focuses on the current culture conditions and atmosphere of Chinese movies. Young movie directors, rises with the art, market and new media, their work presents the themes of "modernized city ", campus reminiscence, the face of youth love. This level is the perfect connection between the transition of "New Generation in the New Century" movie directors and the market in the consumption culture paradigm and hiatorical culture ecology. On the other hand, in the process of modernization and urbanization, the amphibious and chaos caracteristics of movie culture is also criticized. Above all, in the sophisticated movie culture atmosphere, this thesis compares the development path of Chinese movie culture and global movie culture. As to new direction and construction of the multi-culture development and individual needs for "New Generation in the New Century " movie directors, this thesis provides a basic logical estimation and innitiative construction strategies.
