Since the new century, the government has issued a series of policies to encourage the development of cultural industries, the Chinese film market began to prosper by and by. A large number of cross-industry talents have also dabbled in film production, to some extent, which have changed the traditional investment and authoring environment of film, the new directors have created many types of videos that so different from traditional film. Thus, a kind of film which cater to the taste of the audience as an important prerequisite, take the new media marketing tactics to expand its social impact as the main means, take innovation of the film content as the reference target, and triggering heated discussion and box office success, have appeared in mass.These new tape of movie received wide attention in the film industry and society, which become a new phenomenon."Phenomenon Movies" as a product of Chinese film-making and market transformation in the new century, which has came into notice by film industry and academia. Therefore, the research of "Phenomenon Movies" is necessary. We can pay close attention on its content themes, production methods,operation patterns and other aspects to know its innate character in-depth.Then, to sum up the experience and shortcomings of "Phenomenon Movies" for the creation and development of film industry in the new century as reference.In this paper, combined with the "consumer society" context in China today, the primary objective are to analyze the generation and development of "Phenomenon Movies", and to explore its art characteristics and so on. The paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter talk about "Phenomenon Movies" concept, connotation and production background.The second chapter interpret the reason of "Phenomenon Movies" generation, including the consumer psychology changed of social groups, combined with the current "Consumer Context" of China and analyze that new social media urged the development of "consumer society". The third chapter write about the features of "Phenomenon Movies", mainly focus on content creation and movie themes, production methods and creative expression, as well as the highly efficient new media in marketing and advertising etc.Then,try to explain the distinction of traditional film genre,include "Spectacle Cinema". The fourth chapter summarize creation mode of "Phenomenon Movies" and analyze its problems to provide some experience for Chinese film creation and development.
